This will be my last column as Activities VP. I'll be retiring from the Board of Directors at the end of this year. I would like to say that I have enjoyed my time serving on the Board. I have met more people from the club serving as a Board member and this has fostered new friendships. Some have even grown into more than a common love and fascination for cars. 
   
As Activities VP I interfaced with all of the people who were responsible for organizing our events. I quickly found out how much work and time was required to put on each and every event. What is sobering is each and every one of these people volunteered. The only compensation they receive is the knowledge that they did a good job. So, as I am a firm believer in acknowledging a persons effort, I would like to thank all of the people who volunteered their time run the club activities. Their efforts should not go unnoticed as their contributions, no matter how small, have helped make each event run smoothly and enjoyable.
