We look forward to seeing you at our second track event of the
season, three-day Summerfest at Mont-Tremblant, with one-hour DE Enduros
for both the Black and Red run groups. We are excited to be returning to
this fabulous track this season, once again just in time for the
International Blues Festival. To get more information about the Festival,
go to http://www.tremblant.ca/blues/index-e.htm
. For those of you who are looking for more LCMT dates, check out the
events scheduled by Rennsport, see www.rennsport.ca
for details. (Our joint – with NCR and CVR -- August event at LCMT
is sold out.)
In addition to our
normal Drivers Education event, we plan to hold charity laps at the lunch
break on Days 1 and 2 for those of you who want to drive Le Circuit at a
more relaxed pace in any legally registered vehicle. This will allow non
track drivers (children, spouses, etc) to drive on the race track during
the lunch break under controlled conditions for a contribution to a
charity. Angel Flight NE www.angelflightne.org
has been selected as that charity.
Please read carefully the General Information document below which
includes important information about crossing the US-Canadian border. You
should also read Track Chair Bruce Hauben’s Track Rats Messages which
are sent by E-mail closer to the event and often contain critical,
last-minute updates. With that in mind, make sure that Registrar Mark
Keefe has your latest weekday and  weekend E-mail address(es).
Also make sure your spam filter accepts "mxk at
charter.net", "bmh993 at PorscheNet.com", and "sartick
at comcast.net" (substitute "@" for " at ").
As a participant at this NER event, you are required
to print out, review carefully, and bring to the event all four elements in
Table 1. There will be
no extras at the event! You will
also need to be familiar with all the Tech Regs in Table 2. Any questions
on the latter may be directed to the Track Chair .
We also suggest that you become familiar with (and print, if you wish) the
other items in Table 2 – the General Information and Directions are
especially useful. Also included in Table 2 is a to a turn-by-turn
description of the track written by NER’s own Russell Castagna. You
can view an in-car video of a lap on the track by going to the
LCMT website and using the
menu on the left side of the page (View Lap of Track). Hopefully you have
already used the information under Rooms to make your hotel reservations.
We are delighted that Touchette Tire will have a truck at the track
and be available to supply and service your track tire needs. To order
tires for delivery at the track, contact Nicholas at 514-381-1846. You
can visit the
Touchette website .
Click on the link at the left if you
need the latest free version of Acrobat Reader. In most cases, the following pdf files are quite
a bit smaller than their counterparts and, therefore, faster to download.
If you have a firewall, be sure to enter porschenet.com (or whatever form
your firewall requests) as a safe site. Meanwhile, allow some of the files
at least a minute to download. These are important and contain timely
information for the upcoming event. Check back to see updates and links
that will become live as the event nears.
