The COM car club has extended an invitation to their away events that I thought some of you might be interested in. I have run in several events with them and know them to be a fun group of people with a good safe approach. Just one thing to be aware of, and this only applies to people out there who use Track Insurance, the second half of the second day is a Time Trial (you compete against a stop watch for a trophy alone on the track) and this is specifically excluded from my insurance, the rest of the event however is run under normal DE rules and should not pose a problem.

The following is the communication I received:

Laurence - thank you for your offer to invite COM members to your NER PCA events - I will make sure that we communicate this to our members and post it on our forum. We in turn would like to invite your NER PCA members to the upcoming COM Events. For our four remaining away events this year COM will reciprocate and welcome any NER PCA member to participate without having to join COM. We are going to some great Canadian tracks this summer. At these tracks COM will run four run groups on the first day (Student, Small Bore, Big Bore, Instructor) - with each group getting at least 4 runs. On the second day we will run three run groups in the morning, a time trail right after lunch and then open track time allowing. We welcome students with all experience levels and I believe that our safety standards and tech are very similar. Our rates for the away events are $195 for the first day and $375 for both days.

Mosport - Canada June 11 &12

Mont Tremblant - Canada July 30 & 31

Lime Rock - CT Nov 16 & 17

We will also hold three events at NHIS this year - (July 7 & 8, Aug 20 & 21 and Oct 20 & 21) these are heavily subscribed, fill up early and you must be a COM member to participate If your member should have any questions please send them to our web site: http://www.comscc.org
