Registration for NER’s first ever Drivers’ Ed event at Calabogie Motorsports Park
(CMP) Calabogie Motorsports,
August 25 - 27, 2006 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) is now open. CMP
will be a brand new 5.05 km (3.05 mile) road track with 23 turns, 65’
of elevation change and a 2,000’ main straight, west of Ottawa, Ontario
approximately 490 mi. from the Boston area. This is a track and driving
opportunity you won’t want to miss.
CMP is another Alan Wilson designed track adding to his Barber, Carolina, Mont Tremblant and many other tracks and infields. As always, the devil is in the details. If everything goes as planned the track will be paved in the early summer allowing sufficient cure time before our end of August event. Yes, we all know things don’t always go according to plan which is why we have to proceed as follows. Registration fees for this three (3) day weekend event are: Student w/ instructor $480 US / $565 CAD Signed off $435 US / $515 CAD Instructor $195 US / $235 CAD We won’t know until the latter half of June whether or not the track will be ready for us at the end of August and we cannot wait until then to accept registrations; it will be too late. So, send in your registration forms with your check (your check will be held, not deposited) to registrar Mark Keefe (his address is on the registration form) ASAP. Make sure your email address (as well as all the other information) is clearly legible. As soon as we know in late June whether or not the track will be ready, we will notify you via email. If the track will not be ready, we will tear up your check, and plan on next year. The TC Chair will make a reconnaissance trip to the track and surrounding area, scouting out track logistics, accommodations, restaurants etc. so that you can make appropriate plans, once the track is confirmed to be ready for us. Send in your registration TODAY, before you forget, and I’ll see you at the track. |
