"I should have done this years ago."
  --Bob Nudelman

"A great seminar! I hit the ground running."
  --Moe Auger
2003

"Great way to advance your driving skills. Nancy couldn't wait for this year's school"

--Tom Buckingham
2004

Yes, that's Nancy all decked out and ready to go in her brand-new helmet!

If you've ever dreamed of driving your Porsche at speed, feeling exhilarated by its performance, and testing your mettle, we invite you ladies and gentlemen, and yes, you young folks, too, to get a leap on the 2006 track season at Thrill Rides 2006 - NER's annual Driver Education Ground School, graciously hosted by Joe Marko of HMS Motorsport in Peabody, MA.

For $10 per person, you get a great preview of Driver Education (DE) - NER's high-performance driving programs. You'll get a preview by Team Leader Steve Artick on what DE is all about, how to register and prepare for an event, what to expect at an event, and how DE can help improve your everyday, on-street driving. You'll learn how much fun it all is! You'll also get an informative handout to help you when memory doesn't.

Check-in/registration and a light, continental breakfast will begin at 9:30 followed by our program at 10:00.

There will be special presentations by veteran driver Joyce Brinton on "DE is NOT for Men Only" and second-year driver Jennifer Artick on "The New Generation of DE."

You'll also see all the practical and fun stuff that HMS has to offer, including helmets, gloves, harnesses, and other safety equipment, and at the end of the program, Joe Marko will host a pizza party.

Sure, February 19th is a Sunday morning in the deep mid-winter, and the groundhog is still asleep in his burrow, but before you know it, your fellow Porschephiles will be cruising the track and autocross courses next spring while you're fertilizing the lawn, wishing you'd taken us up on this offer.

Who should attend?

  • Anyone interested in learning about our 2006 Driver Education program and improving their daily driving
  • Any other driver who wants to introduce a friend to these fun sports.
  • While everyone is welcomed to register for Thrill Rides 2006, DE participants must be current PCA members, 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license

Questions? E-mail Steve Artick.
