Come
join NER at our final event of the season at NHIS.
NHIS is an easy hour north of Boston and is the site of
many televised races, including the Winston Cup. What is not usually
shown on TV is their 1.6-mile road course with 12 turns and some nice
elevation changes, presenting some good challenges for beginners and
advanced drivers alike.
For those new to NHIS, there are garages that
are available for rent on an assigned, first-come/first-serve basis for
a fee of $30 for the event. The garages are a place to keep your car
and gear out of the sun/wind/rain and many of our participants find
them to be very convenient. A check must be sent to the Registrar in
order to reserve space. Instructors should check out their incentives
at www.PorscheNet.com/TrackProg.html.
The track is near some beautiful vacation
country, including the Lakes Region, site of the first resort community
in the country and location for the movie "On Golden Pond," and the
White Mountains a mere hour north, so if you want to take a few extra
days off…this is a great opportunity.
All our events are open to members in good
standing of PCA, BMW and other car clubs. We also accept other
accredited marques. Registration opens March 1. Fee for the event is
listed on the Main
track page.
N.B. Your registration is not considered
valid until our registrar receives your check.
You may
also contact Mark
Keefe, our Track Registrar or Bruce
Hauben, Track Chair before 8 p.m. Contact information is also under
the Track Committee heading at the link above.
