Remember, to qualify for a year-end series trophy, you need to participate in at least four of the six NER series events. This year, as NER is hosting the Zone 1 autocross, participants will accumulate points from these two days toward the final results.  The results will be calculated as if it were a standard NER event (i.e. results will be calculated by eliminating non-NER AX participants from the standings and applying our classifications system).  Autocross is a great way to exercise your driving skills in a safe environment. For anyone that would like assistance, there will be instructors available to work with you. Instruction will NOT be available during the Zone 1 event. Each autocross has a different and unique course design and will, hopefully, provide you with a fun driving experience.

All PCA members are welcome to attend the autocrosses. You may want to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, a lawn chair and something to eat. If you’d rather buy food at the event, you can chip in some money and place orders for submarine sandwiches. You should bring a helmet with a Snell 2000 or later sticker (a limited number of loaner helmets will be available). Also, your car must be able to pass a technical inspection, which includes tires with visible tread, secure lug nuts and operable seat belts (factory installed belts are a minimum). No other special equipment is required.  Please note that rollbars will be required for all open cars. Factory rollover hoops on Boxsters are acceptable.

Event registration and technical inspection will open at 8:00 am and close at 9:00 am. The drivers meeting will be at 9:01 am. We expect to see the first car off at 9:30.  You should show up before 8:00 am to give yourself time to unload your car, register for the event and walk the track.  Please do not show up late.

The price is a bargain at only $30 for members and only $35 for nonmembers (non members can participate, but only if they drive their Porsche). If you have any questions, you can contact Chris Tuck (catuck@cox.net) or Ron Mann (rjmann@yahoo.com).
