The May meeting was hosted by Win Perry and called to order at 7:09pm. In attendance were Susana and Dave Weber, Bob Cohen, Win Perry, Steve Ross, Steve Boris, Ron Mann, Joe and Adalyce Kraskouskas, Matthew Wallis and Michelle Wang. Starting with Activities, past and upcoming, Ron reported that the Autocross novice school at Devens went well, with 28 attendees and positive feedback. A test of the timing equipment will be done prior to any events. All events are scheduled, we are hopeful that the series will be well subscribed. All Autocross events are sponsored, including the Zone 1 event. The Zone 1 event details are still being sorted out and will be published in the Nor’Easter when available. The Ramble was well attended, our Porsches were quite visible and busy. It was reported that all attendees had a good time as well. A reminder to all driver participants at any of our road events: please show respect to fellow drivers on the road and in the towns we travel to and through. Win Perry provided the Monthly Meetings/Administrative update. The meeting at Focus Fitness was well received for those who attended, but could have had a better turnout. Collings Foundation is planned for Sunday June 4 at 11am. Much interest has been generated for the tour. Final details are being arranged. The final arrangements are coming together for the Essex River cruise in August. Preregistration will be required. Susana is making some additional inquiries and will report at the next Board meeting. September is PorscheFest at the MOT. A tentative date of October 15th is being planned for the “Garage Tour”, and plans for a speaker in November are being prepared. Win revealed, to everyone’s delight, that planning for next year is underway as well, possibly Factory Five in January, and another location or speaker in February. Bob Cohen reviewed the Club’s financials. Seeing no concerns, the Board approved the Treasurer’s Report as submitted. Steve Ross reported on membership, which remains steady in the Region. The Board discussed specific actions to be taken towards collection of outstanding debts. Steve Boris has completed various follow-up tasks (read: paperwork) as requested by National. The Board moved to produce new letterhead for correspondence needs Prior to distributing the monthly Nor’Easter content deadlines, the Board gave Dave Weber and his able assistant kudos for the fine job they continue to do for the Region and the newsletter. The group assembled then started muttering as they received their assignments. It is a thankless job that Dave and his assistant do. The open discussion included a report and presentation by Joe and Adalyce Kraskouskas on the Summer Rally. The planning is in the final stages and budget was reviewed and finalized (with some changes) by the Board. The June meeting of the Board will be hosted by Andy Jenks on Tuesday June 13. Having no new business to discuss, this meeting of the Board was adjourned at 9:08pm. Respectfully submitted,
