March Retrospective
Last month's question : No one correctly answered the question from March: "I'm a yacht, christened many years ago as Rhonda III. I've had three other names since. I have an automotive connection: Two very famous auto executives came up with the name of a very famous automobile while cruising aboard me. Name the car for 50 points. 10 bonus points if you can supply all three of my other names. And get another additional 10 points if you can show me how you found the answer on the Internet. (If you can do that, you're a better surfer than me)". I guess I'll give you two hints. The car is American and my current name is Victory. Try again!

Ramblings

Presidential Vocations
Not all U. S. Presidents have spent their spare time in romantic (or more properly, ego-stroking) escapades. Here are some of the jobs held by past Presidents before they took office:
James Buchanan - Prizefighter
William McKinley - Drove a coffee wagon out to Civil War soldiers on the battlefield
Lyndon Johnson - Worked on a road gang after high school; put himself through college working as the college janitor
Richard Nixon - Spent summers working as a carnival barker for the Wheel of Chance at the Slippery Gulch Rodeo
Jimmy Carter - Flew blimps for the Navy

World's Dumbest Car Thief?
Michael Lloyd Jackson, 39, of Conyers, GA, called police to report his recently purchased used Mercedes convertible was stolen. Police figured Jackson was lucky because his stolen car came equipped with the LoJack anti-theft tracking device. They activated the LoJack homing signal and quickly tracked the stolen car to Jackson's basement. The cops confiscated a total of eight cars, one motorcycle and one firearm, and charged him with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property.

Car Logos
Can you name the marque from the description of its logo?
* Three stylized oak leaves.
* The family crest of a French explorer.
* A spinning propeller.
* A city crest within a state crest.
* Four rings represent the Auto Union formed in 1932 by DKW, Horch, Wanderer and ____.
* A rising sun across the sky.

This year's Parade is out west - Steamboat Springs, CO. I can't wait to drive those Rocky Mountain roads. Our first Parade was Pikes Peak '88. I often recall the great time Lois and I had with Susana, Dave and Chris-squared blasting over mountain and through valley on the best driving roads I have ever encountered as we toured Southwestern and South Central Colorado. I hope for more of the same this year, perhaps an excursion into Wyoming and Idaho.

The beauty and lifestyle of the West, particularly that of the 19th century has been captured by many artists. One of my favorites, entitled "Runnin' Out The Storm," depicts cowboys galloping away from an approaching storm with a wonderful, mountainous backdrop. The artist, however, is best known for his work in another medium.

For 20 points, name the artist and for an additional 20 points name his two most famous works in that other medium.
